A great experience for all ages!
Petroglyphs

Travel back in time 1,000-1,500 years ago as we explore unique locations and history of the Fremont Indian culture (“Nungwu” as called by the local Paiutes). We will start in Cedar City and travel together to the historic Parowan Gap (just 16 miles to the north) and learn about the unique features of the Gap, including the surrounding petroglyphs, various scholarly and indigenous perspectives and interpretations of the Gap, archaeoastronomy, and reimagine what a thriving Fremont culture may have looked like in this area.
Along the way, we will learn about indigenous legends and myths which help bring the surrounding area to life. Plan on about 1.5 – 2 hours for this experience.
